
Background
Rob has worked in the communications industry for the last 30 years and has operated as a Senior Manager or Director for Sales, Marketing and Training for a number of international organisations. In 1975 Rob qualified in Marketing in London and Management Development at Insead in France during his time with Alcatel.
Mars: Rob was National Sales Manager and European Distributor Manager for the KLIX Division of Mars between 1978 and 1984. During this time he ran Sales Forces with over 100 staff.
Alcatel: Rob joined Alcatel in 1986 and rose through the ranks to become National Sales Manager for the IT Front End Processor Division in the UK, International Sales Manager for IT Third Party Maintenance and ultimately International Sales, Marketing and Training Director for Office Products with responsibility for over 200 staff in the UK and a Distribution Network around the world.
Royal Mail (RoMEC): Rob joined as Sales and Marketing Director in 1993 to help Royal Mail privatise some of its business interests and to develop a sales force.
ACC Telecom: Rob joined ACC as Marketing Director for a one year project in 1996/7 and worked on product development in both the UK and USA and Canada*. During his time with ACC he introduced a number of training initiatives to enhance telecoms sales throughout the UK.
