Background
Born in Zimbabwe and educated in South Africa Craig moved to the U.K in 1998 to peruse his rugby career and further his education. When injury ruled Craig out of competitive sport he chose to remain in the UK and in 1999 adopted a “bottom up” approach – Doing double what was expected.
Craig’s winning attitude and passion for team work was shaped on the sports field, initially through cricket and athletics and later as a promising rugby player.
In 2001 this approach was tested again when Tiny computers went into receivership. Not wanting to join a competitor he decided a change was required and Craig made his hobby (health and fitness) his job.
Craig began selling gym memberships in Inverness and was promoted to sales manager within two months. In January and February of 2003, with the team applying their sales skills the club generated its highest selling months to date. That launched Craig’s career and that of his team, one of whom is the General Manager to this day!
Over the following four years Craig applied his sales and marketing expertise and skills as a high profile General Manager turning around the profitability of 4 clubs in as many years in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast and Birmingham.
